In May 2020, I returned to New Orleans with my brother David (DP), Abby Vo, Chris Alcazar, and editor Alex Wiltz to film 39 critical-care nurses from COVID-19 units across Louisiana at the Ochsner Clinical Simulation & Patient Safety Center. Portraits by photographer Daymon Gardner.
The 11-minute documentary was sponsored by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses and received Associated Press coverage in March 2021, picked up by multiple outlets marking the one-year anniversary of the pandemic.
